Hunter Street To Simcoe Street Alleyway

The Hunter Street to Simcoe St. Alleyway project will reimagine what an alleyway could be by making it not just a pathway- but a place for people. We are currently working towards revitalizatizing the alleyway with a plan to make this walkable thoroughfare feel safer and more accessible.

The Hunter St. to Simcoe St. alleyway is used by pedestrians as a mid-block crossing that connects to the Transit Terminal and a multi-level parking garage. In February 2020 we held a community design charrette to help inform our design process. Based on public feedback we are currently working towards making this beloved alleyway better lit, more accessible, and more green/permeable.
